![]() ![]() If I find the quality is too low vs watching the video off the vhs player I will invest in a better capture card / TBC. Guessing might be some issue with interlacing here, still trying to get my head around this. I am assuming these will be huge files (have plenty of HDD space) and not best quality Using OSB I plan to capture, using my current VCRĪlthough I am looking at a few better ones with TBC built-in on ebay. I have looked at Dazzle and Elgato, but neither of these appears to be able to do the correct number of lines for Pal.Įlgato does state it go can straight to H.264 format, but only at 640*480 - so guessing will the videos will be cropped. Output MPEG 2 -> not sure if this is the best Going to get one of these: SQ Tech Digital Capture as a first try. This is for a first pass to least get the videos shared with the family on their phones PC wise, using a HP Omen 17 Laptop, i7 10th, 16gb Ram, RTX 2070 Super, so should be enough to handle everything :-) I am wondering if its worth trying to upscale the video of if this will make it look rubbish. I guess my main thing is I want to get the videos over in the best quality I can (well least from VHS), most the videos are mid 80s - late 90s so have been aging for a while.Įditing wise, if I can get into H.284 I can bring it into resolve and happy to edit it there. but then I have seen some cables for £15. ![]() On amazon, one video I watched mentioned a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle, but that's £184. When you say Capture Card, what exactly is that? Thanks, More I look into it, more complicated it is getting haha! ![]()
